Ce titre a été écrit et composé par Michael Jackson et John Barnes au studio de Westlake à Los Angeles, avec qui ils ont réalisé "We Are Here to Change the World".Cette chansdon a été donné à Ralph Tresvant en 1990 pour son album eponyme."Alright Now" est un slow mélangeant R&B et pop. Les instruments utilisés sont une basse, un piano, un synthétiseur et une percussion. Michael a énormement collaboré avec John Barnes lors des sessions de Bad et de Dangerous grâce à son énorme polyvalence dans les programmations, les arrangements et ses capacités à jouer plusieurs instruments. Cette album était rentré en première position dans les charts R&B aux Etats Unis.Le titre pharse a été Sensitivity qui s'est classé à la e place dans le Billboard Hot 200 et numéro un dans le classement R&B. La chanson a été produit par les producteurs de Janet ou de Prince et de la chanson "Scream" de Michael, le duo de Minneapolis : James Harris et Terry Lewis.Raph Tresvant a connu Michael au milieu des années 80.Raph a fait parti du groupe R&B, New Edition avec des membres aussi connu que Bobby Brown et Johnny Gill.
