Dallas Austin né le 29 décembre 1970 à Columbus (Géorgie), est un producteur du R&B et hip-hop américain.
Dallas joue de la guitare, des claviers, de la batterieet de l' harmonica pour ses multiples productions.
Dallas a produit des titres pour Gwen Stefani, TLC, Carly Rae Jepsen, Anastacia, Kelis, Madonna, Boyz II Men, Janet Jackson ou encore Deborah Cox, Duran Duran et Michael Jackson.
En 1994, il produit "Creep" l'énorme succés de TLC qui sera le troisième single le plus vendu sur le territoire américain qui remporta un Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Sur cette piste, Dallas utilise un sample de "Hey Young World" par Slick Rick.
Son succés attire l'attention de Madonna pour qui il va produire notamment "Secret" pour son album "Bedtime Stories".
Dallas aime mélanger un son rock à ses influence R&B et urbaines comme sur le titre "Don't Let Me Get Me" de P!nk en 2002 et "Left Outside Alone" en 2004 pour Anastacia.
Dallas participe à la composition de la piste "This Time Around" avec la participation de Notorious BIG sur le rap en 1995.
En 2003, Janet fait appel à ses services pour son nouvel album où Dallas composa "Just a Little While".
