Teddy Riley (né Edward Theodore Riley, le 9 octobre 1967 à Harlem) est un producteur et un chanteur de hip-hop et de R&B.
Il fait partie, il a fondé et est le leader des groupes Guy et Blackstreet. Il est l'inventeur du style "New Jack Swing" et il a collaboré et travaillé avec de nombreux artistes comme Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Britney Spears ou encore The Neptunes.
Teddy Riley a commencé sa carrière en produisant et enregistrant dès l'age de 12 ans dans les années 80. Son premier groupe "Kids at Work" signé sur CBS Records avec Timmy Gatling un autre membre du groupe Guy, a réalisé un album du même nom incluant le single "Singin' Hey Yeah".
A 15 ans il produit son premier succès "The Show/La Di Da Di" pour le rapper Doug E. Fresh et le Get Fresh Crew (DJs Barry B., Chill Will et MC Ricky D AKA Slick Rick) ainsi qu'un autre titre devenu un classique du Rap, "Raps New Generation". Il atteindra la première place du Billboard R&B pendant l'été 1988 avec une composition "Just Got Paid" pour Johnny Kemp.
En 2010, Teddy Riley a participé à la réalisation de l'album posthume de Michael Jackson - "Michael".Teddy produira le titre "Hollywood Tonight","Monster" et "Breaking News".
