James Everette Lawrence alias Rhett Lawrence est un producteur et un auteur de nationalité americaine. Rhett Lawrence a gagné un grammy Award pour single "Vision of Love" for Mariah Carey qui a été numero 1 dans les charts à travers le monde. Plus recemment il a produit l'album de Kelly Clarkson "Miss Independent” qui a été numero 1 dans les radios americaines ou encore co écrit la chanson numero un britannique “I Wanna Be the Only One” de Eternal featuring BeBe Winans. il a produit des numeros 1 comme "Never Be The Same Again" avec Melanie C. qui a été numero un en Grande Bretagne. Il s'était occupé des tambours pour le hit de the Bee Gees 1987 avec "You Win Again" vendu à 2 million copies à travers le monde.
