Allen Sides est un ingénieur du son américain qui a collaboré à plus de 400 albums dont Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, James Ingram, Green Day, Eric Clapton, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Tom Newman, Joni Mitchell, Faith Hill ou encore Alanis Morisette ou Frank Zappa. Allen a commencé sa carrière en 1968 et a ouvert son premier studio Ocean Way à Santa Monica en 1973. En 1979, Allen acquiert Western Recording avec qui il consolide ses opération avec Ocean Way. Record One rentre la famille Ocean Way en 1988. Enfin en 1997, Ocean Way Nashville ouvre.
