Michael est un album posthume de titres inédits de Michael Jackson paru en 2009.Il a été publiée du 10 Décembre 2010 au 14 Janvier 2011.L'album est marqué par des collaborations avec Akon, 50 Cent, Lenny Kravitz et Dave Grohl.L'album produit quatre singles: "Hold My Hand", sorti le 15 Novembre 2010, qui a atteint la 39e place aux charts US, "Tonight Hollywood", sorti le 11 Février 2011, et "Behind the Mask", sorti le jour 21 Février 2011.Le vendredi 10 Décembre 10, une affiche de 2701 m² illustrant la pochette d'album "Michael" a été érigé dans le Middlesex, en Angleterre, qui a battu un record du monde Guinness pour le plus grand poster dans le monde.Les chansons proviennent de différentes sessions pour ses albums (History,Invincible,Thriller) et des chansons faites récemment. Sony a fait appel à des musiciens comme Brad Buxer,des techniciens comme Michael Durham Prince,Jean-Marie Horvat ou Jon Nettlesbey et des producteurs de "confiance" de Michael tel que Teddy Riley avec qui Michael a collaboré sur "Dangerous" et "Invincible" et Theron “Neff-U” Feemster qui a collaboré avec MJ en 2007, afin de pour finir ses chansons.Sony a fait aussi appel à la nouvelle vague de musiciens et de techniciens pour apporter une touche moderne.Deux de ses titres en version "demo" avait déjà leaké sur le net : "Hold My Hand" et "Another Day".La chanson "The Way You Love Me" a été déjà publié dans "Ultimate Collector" mais Michael voulait la terminé. "Behind The Mask" était une des chanson les plus attendues par les fans. Celle-ci n'avait pas pus être mise sur "Thriller" à cause de problèmes de droits d'auteur. Ensuite, la chanson a été vendu à Eric Clapton et/ou donné à Greg Phillinganes.
